Spent the day in Marquette visited the library then walked the downtown had coffee and went to the veterans nursing home to see if Mindy could do therapy work but I needed her shot record and I didn't have it. Had to replace the circuit breaker that charges the house battery $9.00 Then drove to Ishpemining for the ski jump competition and bonfire. That was a lot of fun. Took on gas $84.32
9.2 mpg this tank had a lot of idle time. Odo 45145

My feet hurt to much. Do I have to put them down?

Odo 45114 Up at 8:00 Made coffee and oatmeal for breakfast. It was really nice to get off the McDonald's routine. I had put put my coffee water last night to make it easier to get started this morning. Took Mindy for a walk but it's just to cold. She doesn't even want to put her feet down, she keeps limping on different feet. After the walk we started driving stopping at a Super 8 motel and asking to use their internet so I could book my flight back home for the mediation. Back on the road I stopped at a roadside park where I could walk out into the ice. It was pretty cool with waves just frozen in place. Now onto to Marquette Mi. A college town I went to do a little sightseeing then picked up dinner from Subway $6.35 then to a Laundromat and after doing my laundry I drove to Wal-Mart and took Mindy for a walk.

Up at 8:00 Breakfast at McDonalds again $3.90 I'm not that big a fan of McDonalds it's just been to darn cold to get going so I have taken the easy way out. Besides my water has been frozen so I haven't been able to make coffee or oatmeal. Tonight I put my coffee water in the pan and the pan on the stove so in the morning I should just have to light the stove and presto hot water. Last night half my water supply froze and busted it's container "1 gallon" and thats inside! So I have the remaining water hanging just above the heater thats going to run all night.When I woke up the temp was -5 outside and 17 inside this trip is not for the cold wuss! Well spent a couple hours this morn looking for a library and finding out they are all closed on monday. Then tried connecting with my cell in order to book a flight but couldn't complete the reservation. Then off toward Paradise Mi I thought the name was strange for a place so far north but it was pretty, lots of snow. Kept driving and sightseeing till 17:00 stopped in a li'll grocery store and bought some oj and bread. Now in for the night beside the road somewhere in the UP Mi.

Up at 8:00 Well I can now call the snowquest successful! Blizzard last night with -5 for the low and about 17 inside the camper I ran the heater to warm up a little. That got it into the balmy 20's wow had to turn it off! I had coffee and cereal scheduled for b fast but @ 27 it was just too cold! I took Mindy for a walk and she didn't even want to walk she kept holding her paws up and at first I thought she had a injury but she was doing it with different paws. I was so happy when she quickly did her buisness! Had breakfast at McDonald's $3.90 Went looking in Walmart for a better heater and did alright, I got a 1000 btu heater which with some xtra bottles cost $49 that should run for 20 hours per bottle to go with the 3000 btu I already had which gives about 7 hours per bottle. I finely got warmed up. I shut the big heater down to sleep and woke to about 15 degrees. Watched taped tv then to sleep.

Up at 8:00 walk Mindy then b-fast at Tim Hortons $3.90 they don't give free refills but made an exception this time. I think i'll go back to McDonald's. While having b-fast I heard the forcast for the UP was for blizzard, so naturally I had to get there asap. I took 75 all the way to the end. Sault Ste Marie. Along the way I crossed the Macinaw suspension bridge the longest of it's type in the northern hemisphere. I arrived at Sault Ste Marie about 17:00 when I got Mindy rigged up to walk I heard a lot of comotion and determied that the town was in the semi finals of the outhouse races. So I had to watch that. Later Mindy and I walked down to the waterfront to see what was there. There was a Laker there called Valley Camp that is a museum but I don't think it was open. After we got back to the camper I stopped at a comfort inn and asked to use the pool the manager said ok. I used the hot tub and pool and the sauna then took a shower. The bad news? The shower was cold I mean really cold! Took on 33 gal fuel $97.22 11.7 mpg Then back to Walmart for the night.

Spent the night in Bay City Mi. Up at 7:00 had oatmeal and coffee for b\fast then took mindy for a walk then put together a pot of bean and rice soup. After that I started working on Lee's heater because the f\cast is for lows in the lower teens and I know the heat I have won't be sufficient . Spent two or three hours trying to get it going and finally gave up and bought a sport cat from W\mart for $52.86 and xtra gas at $8.15 plus the thermocouple for $10.53 After getting all that sorted out I started working on my taxes. I got organized at least but will need to spend more time on em.

Up at 06:00 Mindy woke me she was sick. 44339 T\O 21.69 gal gas $61.36 10.7 mpg. B\fast at Mcd's $3.87 Drive to Bay city on Mi25 Stopped at boat ramp and checked out the river. There was a ice shelter towards the middle of the river but I didn't trust the ice to be frozen enough. Spent a couple hours at Walmart then moved on to Cracker Barrel where I had turkey and stuffing $15 including tip. They had a big fire going. I spent the night there and had internet access from pizzaria uno all night. The external wifi antenna is really working well.

2-6-08 Up at 9:00 oatmeal and coffee for b\fast walk Mindy then make bean and rice for lunch dinner. BS Underway at 10:30 odo. 44340 arrive at Port Huron at 15:00 odo 44507 Shopped at Overtons for thermalcouple but they didn't have the right one. Walk Mindy. Went to Barnes an Noble but they closed early because of bad weather. Stopped at Walmart for thbe night at 19:00 did my grocery shopping $35.34

2-5-08 Up at 9:00 Ceral and coffee for b\fast Pulled drv side brake and de-smegged the caliper.Greased that wheelbearing. Drive to Napa for vac hose and Kmart for brake fluid. Replace vac hose. Put donated hubcaps on. Go to laundrymat and wash clothes and fill water bottles. The lady who ran it loved Mindy. Made rice with soup for dinner. Clean up van. Take shower. T\O 16.8 gal gas $49.09 10.7 mpg Drive 70 miles 21:30 pull over for the night.

Up at 8:00 Had oatmeal and coffee for b/fast Made a pot of bean soup had that for lunch and dinner. Called in to NAPA and ordered the EGR valve $65 then started working on moving the VRSLA battery into the battery compartment. Drilled the hole and installed the new cig lighter I added yesterday. Tried to adj the 12V pwr supply I put in yesterday but no luck so far,I have to complete this job before I can put the cabinet together. Drove to NAPA to pckup EGR at 15:00 then installed it. Found 3 vac leaks while putting it in. will have to repair those tomorrow. Pulled the psgr brake off and greased the wheel bearing, I found a small amt of smeg in the caliper, removed it and reinstalled it and remounted the rotor and wheel. Still need to bleed that brake. Need to do the driver side tomorrow f/cast for rain so I wish I had got both sides complete today. Had Mindy out for much of the afternoon. Knocked off at 18:40

Superbowl Sunday! Today was sort of a day off but I still removed my battery converter because it was charging up to 16V I had a 12V regulated power supply that I installed in place of it. I just have it in temporary I want to be sure it works before I make it permanent.Right now the volt reading is 12.8 so I need to turn it up. I added another 12 cig lighter but I still have to drill a hole to install it. I added a 4way outlet by the micro in place of the 2way that was there. Ate at Cici's $5..63 without a drink!! Then I watched the Patriots try to equal the Dolphins record that should never be broken, didn't happen!

Up @ 10:00 I was sick last night. Lee and I drove to the train station to ride in to Cleveland to visit the Crawford museum. I thought to ask for a military disc at the Crawford and they let us in free. There were a lot of old cars there. Later we rode in to the waterfront and went to the Rock Hall of fame. we were to late but the admission was to high anyway $22 but we just looked in from outside. Next we rode back to downtown and checked out the mall that the train station is in and ate at the food court. Stopped at Marc's groceries on the way home so Lee could return his $2 hacksaw and I bought raisin bran cereal because they carry a really good store brand. Back at Lee's around 21:00 walk Mindy, shower and watch a little TV

Up @ 7:00 Go to Wolf plumbing and pick up stuff to work on gas job with Lee 11:00 arrive @ customers house and begin replacing gas line, cartridge in bath room and gfci outlet and dimmer switch in master bedroom. Finished up @ 18:00 and went out for dinner, had all you can eat fish. 19:28 arrive back at Lee's and walk Mindy. 20:00 bring new boat into Lee's inflate and check it out
